Client-server - Client/Server is a network application architecture which separates the client (usually the graphical user interface) from the server. Each instance of the client software can send requests to a server or application server.

Client-server protocol - In computing, a client-server protocol is a protocol in which there is a single server which listens for connections, usually on a specific port (if this is TCP, UDP, or a similar protocol), and one or more clients which connect to it.
